The Latin American home-services market is large and fragmented, with no clear, trusted representation in the delivery of basic services. Discovery still happens through word-of-mouth and neighborhood WhatsApp groups. No regional player has built a durable, trust-led network — and the global marketplaces have repeatedly failed to translate their model into this region.
"Nearby" is a deliberately different bet. We are a vetted, subscription-based network — not a commission marketplace — launching with three recurring verticals in Costa Rica and Bolivia simultaneously, within a two-year rollout plan. The model is capital-efficient, the unit economics are tested before we scale, and the operating discipline reflects the consulting practice this venture grew out of.
